    Wow- thanks everyone! The birthday wishes are a wonderful surprise! The day was very nice... we didn't get to go snakin' like I'd hoped, but I got to play with kittens, so it evens out!

    The second pic down is indeed a black racer... my finest moment in my snake catching history!
